RHK Primary and Science Education Journal (PSEJ, 

Primary and Science Educational is dedicated to promoting the unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge through its Open Access publishing policy. All published articles are freely accessible to researchers, educators, practitioners, and the wider public without subscription or access fees. Through this commitment, the journal aims to become a credible international forum for fostering collaboration, encouraging innovation, and advancing research that contributes significantly to the continuous improvement of elementary education at both national and global levels.

 

Focus and Scope

1. Teaching and Learning in Primary Education

This scope covers research and conceptual studies on teaching and learning processes in primary education. Topics include instructional strategies, innovative teaching models and approaches, active learning, differentiated instruction, project-based learning, and efforts to improve the quality of teaching and students' learning outcomes. Contributions may include experimental studies, classroom action research, case studies, design-based research, and theoretical reviews relevant to primary education.

2. Curriculum Development and Educational Assessment

This area focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of primary education curricula, including the Merdeka Curriculum and other curriculum innovations. Articles may address learning assessment, diagnostic, formative, summative, and authentic assessment, assessment instrument development, educational evaluation, and assessment practices that contribute to improving the quality of primary education.

3. Literacy, Numeracy, and Foundational Skills

This scope emphasizes the development of literacy, numeracy, and foundational competencies among primary school students. Relevant topics include reading literacy, writing literacy, numeracy literacy, scientific literacy, digital literacy, and instructional strategies designed to strengthen essential skills required for lifelong learning and the demands of the twenty-first century.

4. Educational Technology and Digital Learning

This area covers the integration and application of digital technologies in primary education, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning media, e-learning, mobile learning, gamification, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), learning analytics, and other educational technology innovations. Studies may examine the impact of digital technologies on learning outcomes, student engagement, teacher competence, and digital transformation in education.

5. Character Education, Inclusive Education, and Student Development

This scope includes research on character education, inclusive education, multicultural education, social-emotional learning, child development, and student well-being. This scope covers the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional media, teaching materials, textbooks, modules, e-modules, learning resources, and innovative educational products for primary education. The journal welcomes studies employing Research and Development (R&D), Design-Based Research (DBR), Educational Design Research (EDR), and other systematic development approaches.

8. STEM, STEAM, and Interdisciplinary Learning in Primary Education

This area includes research on the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), as well as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), into primary education. Topics may include instructional design, project-based STEM/STEAM learning, interdisciplinary education, computational thinking, creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and innovative pedagogical practices that enhance meaningful learning experiences.

9. Educational Psychology and Student Well-Being

This scope focuses on psychological aspects of primary school students, including learning motivation, student engagement, cognitive development, social-emotional development, mental health, resilience, self-regulated learning, and factors influencing academic achievement and student well-being. Research that contributes to improving students' educational experiences and holistic development is highly encouraged.

10. Global Issues and Future Trends in Primary Education

This area addresses emerging issues and future directions in primary education, including Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Global Citizenship Education (GCED), digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence in education, post-pandemic learning, educational resilience, educational equity, and other innovative approaches that prepare learners for the challenges and opportunities of the twenty-first century.
