Primary and Science Educational is dedicated to promoting the unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge through its Open Access publishing policy. All published articles are freely accessible to researchers, educators, practitioners, and the wider public without subscription or access fees. Through this commitment, the journal aims to become a credible international forum for fostering collaboration, encouraging innovation, and advancing research that contributes significantly to the continuous improvement of elementary education at both national and global levels.
Focus and Scope
1. Teaching and Learning in Primary Education
This scope covers research and conceptual studies on teaching and learning processes in primary education. Topics include instructional strategies, innovative teaching models and approaches, active learning, differentiated instruction, project-based learning, and efforts to improve the quality of teaching and students' learning outcomes. Contributions may include experimental studies, classroom action research, case studies, design-based research, and theoretical reviews relevant to primary education.
2. Curriculum Development and Educational Assessment
This area focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of primary education curricula, including the Merdeka Curriculum and other curriculum innovations. Articles may address learning assessment, diagnostic, formative, summative, and authentic assessment, assessment instrument development, educational evaluation, and assessment practices that contribute to improving the quality of primary education.
3. Literacy, Numeracy, and Foundational Skills
This scope emphasizes the development of literacy, numeracy, and foundational competencies among primary school students. Relevant topics include reading literacy, writing literacy, numeracy literacy, scientific literacy, digital literacy, and instructional strategies designed to strengthen essential skills required for lifelong learning and the demands of the twenty-first century.
4. Educational Technology and Digital Learning
This area covers the integration and application of digital technologies in primary education, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning media, e-learning, mobile learning, gamification, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), learning analytics, and other educational technology innovations.
